Heart-y Place Setting

Heart-y Place Setting craft

Celebrate Valentine's Day, anniversaries, and other loving holidays in style. Design placemats and napkin rings with colorful hearts!

  • 1.

Placemats: On dark construction paper, draw three large hearts for each placemat using Crayola® Erasaable Colored Pencils. Cut them out with Crayola Scissors. Decorate hearts with symbols such as flowers, music notes, or any imaginative designs using Crayola Gel Markers.

  • 2.

Trim off narrow strips around the edges of one sheet of colored construction paper for each placemat. Use Crayola School Glue to attach the hearts to the background. Glue each decorated sheet onto another, larger one for a shadowed effect. Dry.

  • 3.

With Gel Markers, write loving sayings around the outside edges of the placemats.

  • 4.

Ask an adult to help cover both sides of the placemats with clear plastic adhesive so they can be wiped with a damp cloth.

  • 5.

Napkin rings: For each napkin ring, cut a strip of paper about as long as your hand and as wide as two fingers. Glue ends together to form rings.

  • 6.

  • 7.
