Moon Rock Paperweight

Moon Rock Paperweight craft

Dip into the craters of your children's imagination and see what cosmological creations come to light. Use expired Model Magic® to make these paperweights.

  • 1.

Spread recycled newspaper over work area.

  • 2.

Tear off chunks of dried Model Magic. Create moon mountains and craters by piling up the chunks on a base such as a recycled margarine tub lid or cardboard. Glue the paperweight sculpture together with Crayola School Glue. Let the glue dry.

  • 3.

For rocks that look like they are from the moon, paint with black Crayola Washable Watercolors or Washable Tempera and Brushes.

  • 4.

When the paint is dry, brush on a glaze made with equal parts glue and water.
