Light a fire under your kids by encouraging them to create imaginary creatures with recycled boxes. Pretend playtime will be almost magical with this dragon.
1.
Shape the wings and head of a dragon out of Crayola® Model Magic®. Decorate with Crayola Glitter Glue. Dry.
2.
Remove paper wrappers from Crayola Crayons. Place a recycled file folder on top of a textured object such as a jar opener or tile floor. Rub with the side of the crayon to make crayon rubbings that show the textured design.
3.
To make the dragon's tail, roll the file folder into a tube and glue ends with Crayola School Glue. Dry.
4.
Fringe the tail edges with Crayola Scissors. Turn a square tissue box so the opening is in the back and place tail inside the opening.
5.
Cut yarn for dragon hair. Glue to the sides of the tissue box.
6.
Cut triangle slices from construction paper to create fire coming from the dragon's mouth. Decorate with glitter glue. Dry.
7.
Attach triangles to the dragon's mouth. Glue the dragon's head and wings to the box. Add cotton balls or other decorative craft items to the dragon. Dry.
