  • 1.

Note Pads. Use Crayola Hassle Free Watercolors to create watercolor designs on paper that is twice the size of the notepad you plan to cover. Air-dry the paint.

  • 2.

Measure your painted paper to be slightly larger than you need to fit around the back, spine, and front of the notepad. Cut out the cover. Glue the back of the notepad to the back of the paper.

  • 3.

To make fold lines that will help the pad cover close more easily, score along the spine of the pad with a Crayola Colored Pencil. Trace along the spine of the pad where it will meet the painted paper cover, pressing the pencil into the paper to make deep lines.

  • 4.

Fold and glue the painted paper around to cover the front.

  • 5.

Use leftover painted paper to make a band to slide around the pad to keep the cover closed. Cut a strip and wrap it around the pad. Glue the ends so the band slides loosely over the notebook. Glue a button or other decoration onto the front of the band if you like. Air-dry the glue.

  • 6.

Groovy Pencils. With Hassle Free Watercolors, design thin copy paper to cover Crayola Colored Pencils. Air-dry the paint.

  • 7.

Measure and cut a strip of painted paper that is as long as the colored pencil and wide enough to fit around it plus a little to overlap. Glue the painted paper and wrap it around the pencil. Hold it in place for about 20 seconds until the glue sets. Air-dry the glue.
