Finger Twist Game

Finger Twist Game craft

Tangle up your fingers! Finger Twist is definitely for dynamic digits! Do you dare try this game with your toes?

  • 1.

Look closely at your fingertips. Each fingerprint is a little different. Compare your fingerprints to your friends'. There are different patterns of loops, tented arches, small circles, and dots. They look like lines on a contour map, don't they?

  • 2.

To make the game board, fold a piece of white paper into four equal columns. Unfold the paper, then fold the paper the other direction into four more columns. You end up with 16 squares.

  • 3.

Color the squares with 4 Crayola® Twistables™ colors. Only use each color once in each row. Draw fingerprints in each square using Crayola Washable Markers, creating 4 color combinations. For example, red squares with purple fingerprints, blue squares with yellow fingerprints, etc.

  • 4.

Make the spinner by cutting a smaller square of white paper. Fold the square to divide it into 4 equal triangles. Draw each fingerprint combination in each triangle.

  • 5.

Use a Crayola Glue Stick to glue your game board and spinner to colored construction paper or cardboard.

  • 6.

Draw a small finger on white paper to make the pointer. Glue the finger to a piece of construction paper. Punch a hole in the pointer with a brass paper fastener and attach to the center of the spinner.

  • 7.

To play, one person spins. The other player places a finger on the game board on the color indicated by the spinner. Players take turns until they run out of fingers or colors. Have fun tangling up your fingers with your Finger Twist Game!
