Penguins are loads of fun! Create cool penguin fact cards with Crayola Twistables® Slick Stix™ Crayons that you can trade, display or ever make up your own game.
1.
Did you know there are 17 different species of penguins that live in the Southern Hemisphere? Learn and compare penguins by making playing cards that highlight their physical features and list interesting facts.
2.
Use books or the internet to view detailed pictures of different species of penguins. Draw a picture of a penguin on white paper. Younger children can trace a cut-out penguin onto a piece of white paper.
3.
Color the penguin with Crayola Slick Stix™ Crayons. Slick Stix contain pigments that may stain clothing, fabrics and other household surfaces. Wear a smock to protect clothing and cover your work surface with newspaper. For smaller details, use regular Crayola Crayons. Cut out the penguin with Crayola Scissors.
4.
Cut several pieces of construction paper into 5 in. x 8 in. (12.7 cm x 20.3 cm) cards. Cut several 1 in. x 5 in. (2.5cm x 12.7cm) wide strips to add as decorative edges to the cards. Glue the strips to the top and bottom of the card with a Crayola Glue Stick.
5.
Glue the penguins onto the center of the colored construction paper card with a Glue Stick.
6.
