Decorate spinning pinwheels in playful, sparkly colors with Crayola Neon Color Explosion™!
1.
Here’s an easy way to make a bright, spinning pinwheel. With Crayola Scissors, cut one end off of Crayola Neon Color Explosion™ paper to create a square. Draw a circle in the center with the color-reveal marker. Then draw straight lines from each corner to the rim of the circle.
2.
Punch large holes left of each corner line on the outside edge of the paper. Cut along each line, stopping at the rim of the circle. Punch another large hole at the center of the circle.
3.
Use Crayola Markers to decorate the white side of the Color Explosion paper. Turn the paper over and use the color-reveal markers to decorate the black side. Think about the way your pinwheel will spin and draw a design that will be especially interesting when it twirls!
4.
Slip the shorter end of a bendable drinking straw through the center hole. Fold each corner hole onto the straw, one at a time, in order. Be sure that the holes are large enough so that the paper can spin on the straw.
5.
Using Crayola School Glue, attach a small Crayola Model Magic® ball to the front end of the straw. Trim the longer end of the straw so that it is about 2 inches (5 cm) long. Insert the point of a Crayola Erasable Colored Pencil into the straw. Glue a Model Magic spacer behind the pinwheel to hold it in place on the straw. Tape the pieces together for your handle. Air-dry overnight.
6.
Embellish your pinwheel with Crayola Glitter Glue. Air-dry the sparkles before you twirl it!
