Spring Party Purses craft

Create terrific springtime party purses for use as goodie bags, gift holders, Mother's Day plant holders. Party purses are fun to make and are only limited by your imagination!

  • 1.

    Draw your handbag shape on a piece of scrap paper. Use your imagination, or take a look at some real handbags for inspiration. Cut shape out to create a template.

  • 2.

    Trace your template on the back of two sheets of Neon Color Explosion® Paper. Cut purse shapes out.

  • 3.

    Decorate your purse using Neon Color Explosion markers.

  • 4.

    Embellish your purse with items such as Crayola Glitter Glue®, rhinestones, feathers, ribbon, foam shapes, or whatever else you can find. Adhere items to your purse using Crayola Glue Stick if necessary.

  • 5.

    Once your purse is decorated, open a brown paper lunch bag and use glue stick to glue purse pieces to the front and back, with the decorated sides facing out. Trim paper bag at the top if necessary.

  • 6.

    To cover the sides of the paper bag, measure the sides and cut out pieces of Neon Color Explosion Paper. Glue pieces to sides of bag using glue stick.

  • 7.

    Create a name tag by cutting a small piece of Neon Color Explosion Paper into a tag shape.

  • 8.

    Write the recipient's name on the tag using Neon Color Explosion Markers. Decorate the tag with Neon Color Explosion Markers and any other embellishments you choose.

  • 9.

    Punch a hole in the tag and secure to the purse with ribbon.
