Did you know that kids all over the world play hopscotch? Design a hopscotch court in the shape of a fish using Crayola Sidewalk Crayons and a piece of posterboard shaped like a big letter D!
1.
Draw a large D on poster board with Crayola Markers.
2.
Use Crayola Scissors to cut out the shape.
3.
Choose a safe, level outdoor area for your hopscotch game.
4.
Use a broom to sweep away any debris.
5.
Trace the D on the hopscotch area using Crayola Sidewalk Crayons. The bold colors really look bright!
6.
Continue to trace the D shape over and over to create your hopscotch court following this plan: ? Two D shapes side by side for spaces 1 and 2 ? One D shape centered above the 1 and 2. This will be space 3. ? Next two D shapes above 3. These will be sp
7.
Use Sidewalk Crayons to draw a big fish shape around all of the spaces so the tail of the fish is in front of the 1 and 2 spaces and the head extends beyond the number 9 space.
8.
Draw the 10 where the fish’s face would be. The zero can be the fish eye.
9.
Add Sidewalk Crayon details, like numbers, in the spaces and some fish lips on the fish face. Draw fins, more scales and wavy water all around.
10.
You can play the game by tossing a rock and hopping to retrieve it from each space. Or you can make a Sock Worm to toss and retrieve! You’ll find directions right here at Crayola .com.
