Hauntingly Boo-tiful Halloween Garland

Hauntingly Boo-tiful Halloween Garland craft

Dangle these Halloween garlands in doorways and across windows! Hang more from your mantle. Throw a party with decorations that show their true colors in black light!

  • 1.

What makes Halloween unique? Witches, ghosts, jack o’ lanterns? Or gross, scary stuff? Pick several symbols for each Crayola Model Magic® garland. Choose neon colors that glow in black light. Use black accents that disappear in the dark. What creepy effects can you create?

  • 2.

Flatten Model Magic with your hands or roll it with a capped marker or rolling pin. Cut out skulls, black cats, and other holiday symbols with Crayola Scissors.

  • 3.

Decorate each piece. Use thin snakes of modeling material for hair, scars, and outlines. Cut ruffled or ragged edges. Knead two or more colors together just a little for marbleized shades for slime, bloodshot eyes, gruesome teeth, and oozing sores.

  • 4.

While the Model Magic® is still fresh, press a hole near the top of each piece with a straw. Air-dry the pieces overnight.

  • 5.

String raffia through the holes. Tie knots on both sides of each piece to keep them evenly spaced. Hang your garland and turn on the black light for some ghoulish fun!
