Sing and play with your very own barnyard! "Old MacDonald's Farm" comes alive with this barn, farmer, and animals.
1.
Design a barn and perhaps a silo using recycled containers such as shoe boxes, oatmeal containers, or cereal boxes. Decorate the buildings with Crayola® Crayons and Crayola Washable Markers. If you like, cover your art area with newspaper and paint the barn with Crayola Washable Kid's Paints and So Big Brushes. Dry. Apply a second coat of paint if needed. Dry.
2.
Use Crayola School Glue to attach barn pieces together. Dry.
3.
Using Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils and Washable Markers, draw the farmer, Old MacDonald, and various farm animals on recycled file folders. Cut out the farmer and animals with Crayola Scissors.
4.
Glue a small piece of self-adhesive hook and loop fastener tape to the back of each character (use the hook tape). Attach small pieces of the tape (use the loop tape) to various parts of the barn.
5.
Now you are ready to sing "Old MacDonald." Begin by attaching the farmer. As you sing the song, add the animals to the barn one at a time.
