Poised to protect, the Rampant Lion cuts a striking figure. Send a magnificent, handcrafted card on St. Andrew’s Day, or any time, to celebrate Scotland.
1.
With its sharp blue claws and open jaw, the Rampant Lion, symbol of House of Stuart, is a dramatic symbol for a monarch. Notice Scotland’s royal flag’s details, such as the lion’s forked tail and spiky mane.
2.
On construction paper, draw and color your lion with Crayola Twistables® Colored Pencils. Cut out your imposing figure.
3.
Fold contrasting construction paper in half to make a card. Through the fold, cut two parallel lines across the center of the card to form a tab. Open the card and poke the tab so it folds up when the card is opened.
4.
Glue the lion cutout to the tab. Make sure that when the card is folded, the lion does not bend or stick out of the card.
5.
Decorate the edges of the card to complete Scotland’s royal flag. Add your message to celebrate St. Andrew’s Day!
