One of the safety features of the Gadget Headz Car Factory prevents the hood or lid from opening if the timer has become engaged either intentionally or inadvertently. If you haven't done so already, please install 4 AA batteries in the battery compartment. Then turn the on/off switch to the "on" position and turn the timer switch, located on the wheel, to the right (clockwise). The cycle will begin, and the red light should come on even if there is no light bulb in the unit. Let the machine run through its complete cycle. When you hear the car beep three times, the cycle is complete and the unit should unlock.
