  • 1.

    Collect recycled magazines and newspapers.

  • 2.

    Demonstrate coil and pinch pot techniques.

  • 3.

    Help children recognize similarities and differences between upper- and lower-case letters.

  • 4.

    Select a place mat. Shape a soup-size bowl with Crayola® Dough. Try coils or pinching out a pot. Use craft sticks, plastic dinnerware, or other modeling tools to shape and add texture.

  • 5.

    Find alphabet letters in recycled magazines or newspapers. OR write your own letters with Crayola® Write Start Colored Pencils.

  • 6.

    Using Crayola® Scissors, cut out letters. Place them in the bowl for pretend alphabet soup.
