Collect small, clean boxes such as oatmeal boxes, milk cartons, and cardboard rolls. Try to find at least 6 matching boxes in several shapes and sizes.

Sort boxes by shape, such as cylinders and cubes. With your friends, decide which color to paint each shape. Make each shape a different color.

Put on a Crayola® Art Smock. Cover your work area with recycled newspapers. Paint all of the boxes with Crayola® Washable Tempera and So Big® Brushes. If you are painting wax or plastic, add a squirt of liquid dish detergent to the paint. Dry overnight.
