Personalized Puzzles

Personalized Puzzles lesson plan

  • 1.

Puzzles intrigue children, and are easily adaptable. Wooden, knob puzzles with big pieces work well for toddlers. By age 4, these paper puzzles will challenge children to pay close attention to visual cues.

  • 2.

Match puzzle topics to curriculum topics.

  • 4.

Measure poster board into puzzle size—it could be a table puzzle or a floor puzzle. Cut with Crayola® Scissors.

  • 5.

Draw a puzzle design or picture with Crayola® Write Start® Colored Pencils and Construction Paper™ Crayons. Fill every space with color.

  • 6.

Turn over the paper. Mark puzzle-piece shapes on the back. Create enough shapes to challenge yourself. Cut along the puzzle lines.

  • 7.

Mix up the pieces. Put your puzzle together. Exchange puzzles with friends for more fun.
