Make a Valentine game to play with a friend using just two pieces of Crayola Neon Color Explosion Paper! Make it 3D with a fun "snip and slide" technique.
1.
Measure and cut eight one-inch strips, lengthwise, from a piece of Neon Color Explosion Paper.
2.
Measure and cut ten 2" x 4" rectangles from another piece of Neon Color Explosion Paper.
3.
Use Neon Color Explosion Paper to decorate the strips with Valentine designs, stripes, dots or swirls.
4.
Five of the rectangles will be Xs (the kisses) and the other five rectangles will be Os (the hugs). Use one color side for the Xs and one color side for the Os. Draw an X on each X and an O on each O.
5.
SNIP the strips! Snip halfway across each of the strips at 1", 3", 5" and 7". Measure and mark at each spot and snip across with blunt-tipped scissors.
6.
SLIDE the strips! Slip the slits of the strips inside each other to create a 3D tic tac toe grid.
7.
SNIP the Xs and Os. Take a rectangle and use scissors to cut a slit half-way down from the top, about a pinky-width from the edge. On the other side, cut a slit from the bottom half-way up, also about a pinky-width from the edge.
8.
SLIDE the X’s and O’s! Roll the Xs and Os and nest one slit inside the other to make a standing tube.
