Scratch off a scary scene for Halloween! Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with this classic crayon technique.

  • 1.

    Do things scare you less if you are around them a lot? Many cultures celebrate scary things on holidays such as Halloween or Dia de los Muertos. What scares you? Here's a way to show it on paper.

    Color a whole sheet of white paper with a thick layer of Crayola® Crayons. Use any colors wherever you like.

  • 3.

    Cover your art area with newspaper. With a Crayola Paint Brush, generously spread black Crayola Washable Kid's Paint over the entire page. Air dry flat.

  • 4.

    With the pointed tip of Crayola Scissors, scratch ghoulish creatures in the black paint. The crayon colors will shine through to make your drawing! Happy Fright Night!
