Signs of the Seasons Poems

Signs of the Seasons Poems craft

Each new season brings exciting and wondrous changes for children to explore. Get back to nature by combining writing and art.

  • 1.

Pick a season and think about the signs that tell you it is that time of year. For example, spring is rainy with lots of earthworms and budding trees, while summer is filled with fireflies and spiders' silky webs. If possible go outside for inspiration.

  • 2.

Write a poem filled with word images of the season on white paper with Crayola® Colored Pencils.

  • 3.

Attach your poem to construction paper using a Crayola Glue Stick. Illustrate it by drawing graphic images with Crayola Twistables. Cut them out and glue them around your poem.

  • 4.

Publish your poem by reading it and displaying the illustration.
