Seafood Feast Centerpiece

Seafood Feast Centerpiece craft

Oh no, the crab trap got away and broke open on a deserted island! Now all the crabs are free and running around. Embellish the table at your next crab feast with a whimsical centerpiece!

  • 1.

Make your tray any way you like using recycled items, vacation mementoes, and craft decorations. Here’s how the centerpiece in the picture was made.

  • 2.

Cover a wooden craft tray with a thin layer of blue Crayola Model Magic® compound. In the center, form an island made of Model Magic.

  • 3.

For the crab trap, attach two berry boxes together along one side with a chenille stick. Place the trap on the island. Form a Model Magic palm tree behind the two berry boxes. Use an armature such as part of a cardboard roll for a tall tree.

  • 4.

Form several little red crabs out of Model Magic compound. Put them in different positions all over the island.

  • 5.

Use Crayola School Glue to firmly attach sea shells on the outside of the tray. Model Magic® dries to the touch overnight and dries completely in 2 to 3 days.

  • 6.

Decorate the scene with Crayola Glitter Glue. Air-dry the glue before you decorate for your next seafood cookout. Why not make matching napkin rings with the rest of the cardboard roll?
