See You Centerpiece

See You Centerpiece craft

Animals are popular decorating and party themes. Kids take a walk on the wild side with their imaginations by creating their own flora and fauna centerpiece.

  • 1.

Use Crayola® Scissors to cut thin cardboard into a half-circle base. Recycled cereal boxes work well.

  • 2.

Color green leaves with Crayola Construction Paper Crayons. Cut them out and fringe the edges with scissors. You could also use real leaves.

  • 3.

With Crayola School Glue, glue leaves to one side of the cardboard so it looks like a vegetation-filled jungle or rainforest.

  • 4.

Draw a jungle creature's face--from the eyes up--with crayons on the top part of construction paper. With more construction paper, draw, cut out, and glue on any additional facial features and decorations.

  • 5.

Fold back the bottom of the paper with the animal face. Glue the animal to the back of the cardboard so your creature's face peeks out from behind the leaves. Dry before standing the centerpiece.
